Mornings With A Summer Siren: Lady Medusa

Yesterday I had the pleasure of working with the lovely Lady Medusa. This is another model who it seemed that fate was against me working with, but we finally got together and I'm pretty damn glad we did. She had a very clear concept in mind, and the weather was perfect, Everything just worked. Anyways, I highly suggest you keep your eyes on this lady, she's a tiny bundle of fun, but super sassy on top of it all.

Oleg & Tara are Hitched!

This by far was my favourite wedding this year. You might remember Tara and Oleg from their engagement shoot back in May. This past weekend I saw them again and had the pleasure of shooting their wedding in Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains.

To put it simply, their wedding was AMAZING. They had paid attention to every minor detail possible and the entire wedding had a really beautiful DIY theme and was just them. They decided not to go with any formal photos but I felt completely at ease shooting every other element of their wedding. It was a great deal of fun (OMG LOLLY BAR & COWBOYS AND INDIANS CAKE!!).

The two of them are clearly wild for each other and I felt really lucky that they chose 'lil ol' me to document their special day.

Chromefest 2011 - Trekking to The Central Coast

Peter and I spent the weekend on the Central Coast of NSW for this years Chromefest. For those of you who don't know Chromefest is a celebration of everything Kustom Kulture, so we were in our element. We spent the entire weekend with hair (in my case) and vehicle envy (both of us suffered quite heavily from this).

Sarah & Johnathan are Hitched!

Sarah and John have been together for ever. They met 6 years ago in Sarah's older sister's back yard and their love blossomed from there. I went to uni with Sarah and I distinctly remember the line "we'll never get married" come into conversation more than once, so it was a huge shock I think to everyone when John proposed.

I'm never really suckered into tears at a wedding but this one got me. I teared up when she put on her dress, and I teared up during the ceremony. I wish these guys all the best, but am positive that they won't need it as they've found that special kind of love!

Melbourne Weekender

Thalia and I had organised to shoot a while back but fate was not on our side at the time. However, after a couple reschedules we finally got the opportunity to work together. We had a clear idea and expectations and I'm pretty happy with the results. Her cat did spill tea all down my back, but the shoot was a success and she does old vintage glam like a pro!

Shanghai Charlies Tattoo Parlour

A few weeks ago the guys at Shanghai Charlie's were looking for someone to take some new photos of the shop and the artists for their website and also another surprise. Being a client at the shop and a regular I offered my services, and I'm pretty glad I did.

The night was pretty much just full of the most insane laughs, and the guys were good sports and very easy to work with. But if any of you are looking for a boss tattoo I suggest calling and organising a consult. I'm yet to be disappointed, and either is my partner.

Miss Georgie Dawson and the Longest Shoot EVER

It's been awhile since I updated, which is awfully slack on my behalf, however, these are some shots from a shoot I did a little while back with the talented Miss Georgie Dawson and he new blonde locks.

Georgie seems to get pigeon holed in the 40's & 50's due to her experience but we decided to do a little bit of everything from the 40's to the 60's and play with an insane amount of costuming. She was a dream to work with and the images most definitely agree.

Also props to the amazing Haylee Robards on Hair and Make Up.

Eliza Nixon - Just a Little Taste

Eliza and I worked together on a submission a few years ago. We clicked, the submission rocked, she's a babe. That shoot together was the last shoot she did for almost 2 years. Now she's back on the modelling band wagon and we decided to play. It took a while to get her back in the groove but she rocks it anyways. As you can tell we tend not to take things too seriously.

On Friday night I was invited to the launch of online store F'd Up Fashion at Pontoon in Darling Harbour (they run this shindig on Fridays call Perfect?). Needless to say it was a fun night. The models were great, the clothes were fun, it was freezing cold, but there was champagne so it was ok.

Engagement Sessions: Tara & Oleg

FINALLY the weather in Sydney cleared up today after a week of constant rain. I was excited for this shoot as my emails back and forth with the bride-to-be Tara were all very fun and we just seemed to click, which is what I look for in clients.
We headed over to carriageworks today for the session, and ended up having a fantastic fun filled day. Oleg and Tara met at are trained actors with HUGE personalities, Oleg in particular had me in stitches and not able to breathe a few times during the morning. They wanted something very them, so we played with props, some regular, others completely ridiculous.
Cannot wait for their wedding in October!!
